I've just finished a 6,000 word short story titled "The Sentry." I will revise it for style and plot tomorrow and have it ready for submission in short order.
Last time I mentioned a new piece, specifically designed in tone and subject matter for Apex Digest. I'll make significant progress on that one tomorrow. I'm looking forward to submitting it, based on the encouraging rejection I received from them last time.
And of course my brain hasn't stopped cooking up new short story ideas even while I've been laboring on these two! It's a Super-Science Fiction world!
