It was nice running 2 miles on the treadmill today and knowing that my mom was working out on the treadmill next to mine; the kind of simple pleasure that's not available when your parents live in a different country (continent) and which is therefore appreciated all the more for its rarity.
Continued work on the review today (wrote 1,000 words) as well as on the poems. Received an encouraging rejection for a poem which has made me that much more determined to continue to focus on this front (while not losing any focus on short stories or critical pieces). And more good documentaries were seen and enjoyed by all :-)
