Un-writing

Brief writing update: Three rejections, five more submissions.

This evening I spent three and a half hours whittling down a story which was originally 7,400 words long to a 4,900 piece, so that it would be eligible for a contest. I think the story retains everything important. Just goes to show ya. Actually cleared some stuff up which had kinda been bothering me when I first wrote it. Who would've thunk that un-writing could be such a complex endeavor? Good times!
